Hamilton, Feb 9 (UNI) With seven-wicket win in the second T20 match against the Black caps, India is
on a high and will look to carry forward this confidence to win the the series when they taken on
New Zealand in the third and the final T20I, to be played here on Sunday.
India will be looking to win their fourth overseas series win on the trot.
India have scripted some memorable records during their Australia and New Zealand tours. Last year,
India played a 1-1 draw with the hosts Australia in the three-match T20 series before registering their
maiden Test series win on Australian soil by 2-1, followed by 2-1 victory in the ODI series.
During the present New Zealand tour, the visitors won the ODI series by 4-1. Now, under stand-in
captain Rohit Sharma India will be looking to win the T20 series.
After losing first T20 by a record margin of 80 runs, the visitors staged a brilliant come back at Auckland. Left-arm spinner Krunal Pandya (28/3) and skipper Rohit Sharma's half century powered India to a seven wickets win to level the three-match series 1-1. This was also India's first T20I victory on New Zealand soil.
In the second T20, the White Ferns posted a challenging total of 158 runs. In reply, the visitors
chased down the target with 11 balls to spare.
Spinner Krunal Pandya was adjudged the Man of the Match. Rishabh Pant (40*) with Ms Dhoni (20*) also chipped in with the bat.
