Sikandar Bakht labels two players as burden in Pakistan squad

Lahore, Nov 7 (UNI) Expressing concern over Pakistan’s performance in the ongoing ODI series against Australia, former Pak fast bowler Sikandar Bakht has criticised the form of both senior and younger players, media reports said.
In a recent interview, Bakht singled out young batsmen Abdullah Shafique and Saim Ayub as “burdens” on the squad, sparking debate on Pakistan’s team selection and strategy, the Express tribune reported.
Bakht, who played 26 Test matches and 27 One Day International games for Pakistan between 1976 and 1989, went on to say that despite their seniority, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have not consistently stepped up in challenging situations, raising questions about their leadership on the field.
