Hyderabad, Oct 11 (UNI) The elusive leopard, who created panic among people in the Rajendra Nagar area on the city outskirts for the past few months, was trapped by forest department officials on Saturday night.
The leopard landed into a cage set up by forest officials in a cattle shed near the Water and Management Training and Research Institute. The big cat had killed two calves in the shed on Saturday morning and on the complaint of the owner of the cattle shed, police and forest officials swung into action to catch the leopard.
A month ago, the leopard had killed a cow in the same and a few months earlier the animal created panic among the people when it was sighted on a road near Mailardevpally on the city outskirts.
