Leopard rescued from 100 ft deep open well in Mysuru

Mysuru, Jul 21 (UNI) A Leopard was successfully rescued from 100 ft deep open well by forest department officials in Karpura village, HD Kote, in the district on Tuesday.
Official sources said that on receiving information from the villagers, the officials led by Antharasanthe Zonal Forest Officer Siddaraju swung into action and rescued the animal. The forest official’s devised a plan to confirm the presence of the big cat and the cage was lowered into the well. Siddaraju himself sat in the cage but was unable to trace the leopard in the well.
Later decided to install CCTV cameras inside the well to monitor the movement of the big cat. On getting confirmation about the presence of the feline in the well, the forest officials successfully rescued the leopard after sedating and brought it to the surface. The officials gave food to the leopard.
