Flash floods, heavy rains-ravaged Hyderabad limping back to normalcy

Hyderabad, Oct 17 (UNI) Several areas in Hyderabad and its neighbourhood which were battered by recent heavy rains and flash floods was limping back to normalcy, barring a few worst-affected areas in the older part of the city, even as the sun shone brightly in the city for the second day on Saturday.
Relief and rescue teams were engaged in pumping out flood water from worst-hit residential areas in the old city which had turned into lakes owing to heavy rains and the flash floods.
Rescue teams are distributing food packets and medicines to the needy even as Municipal and Urban Development Minister K T Rama Rao continued his visits to the affected areas by giving instructions to officials on relief operations.
