Kerala CM writes to TN CM regarding the release of water from Mullaperiyar dam without prior notice

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 2 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has urged Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin to take steps to issue prior notice before releasing water from Mullaperiyar dam.
In a letter to MK Stalin, the Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan expressed concern that release of water from the dam in huge quantities without prior notice is causing panic among people living downstream.
The Chief Minister also tweeted that "An official letter has been sent to dear Thiru @mkstalin Avargal to invite his attention to the matter of releasing water from Mullaperiyar Dam without prior notice. Requested him to ensure the release of water to be planned, gradual & only after giving adequate warning."
