Puducherry, Sep 26 (UNI) As many as 555 more persons were tested positive for the Coronavirus and six patients died in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
There were 5,327 active cases ending at 10 AM on Saturday.
According to COVID-19 status released by the health department here, 439 new cases were reported in Puducherry region, 61 in Karaikal region, 21 in Yanam region and 34 in Mahe region.
As many as 424 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours. Of them, 316 were from Puducherry region, 69 from Karaikal region, 22 from Yanam region and 17 from Mahe region.
All the six deaths were reported in Puducherry region.
Presently, 1493 patients were being treated in Puducherry region,172 in Karaikal region,149 in Yanam region and 61 in Mahe region.
Another 3,452 persons tested positive for COVID-19 were undergoing treatment in home isolation in all the four regions of the UT.
So far, 26,032 persons were infected by the virus and of which 20,205 were treated and discharged, 500 died and 5,327 patients were being treated in hospitals and home isolation.
