KSRTC to issue 5 lakh more Travel Cards amid high public demand

Thiruvananthapuram, July 19 (UNI) Following high public demand, the Kerala Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is preparing to issue an additional 5 lakh Travel Cards, as 100,961 people have already obtained the card within days of its launch, reflecting the warm public embrace of the new digital service initiative.
The Travel Card, which makes commuting smoother and solves the problem of loose change, along with the "Chalo" app, which helps track KSRTC buses in real-time and has already been downloaded by over 1.2 lakh users, is enhancing the overall travel experience of Kerala's public transport system.
A total of 73,281 students have applied for the smart online concession card, which will also be delivered in smart card format. Authorities are in the final stages of distributing these cards to students.
