Two killed, 3 injured after tree falls on auto-rickshaw in TN

Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, May 5 (UNI) Two persons, including a woman passenger, were crushed to death and three others grievously injured after a banyan tree fell on an auto-rickshaw at Pathamadai in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu on Thursday.

Police said the tragedy occurred when a group of workers was engaged in uprooting the banyan tree on the Tirunelveli-Papanasam Highway for carrying out the road extension works.
