Telangana govt seeks Union govt's support for Textile, Handloom sector

Hyderabad, Aug 6 (UNI) Telangana Industries and IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao (known as KTR) on Saturday sought central government's support for the Textile and Handloom sector in the state.
In his letter to Union Minister of Textiles Piyush Goyal on the steps to be taken by the central government to help the textile sector, KTR , the TRS Working President, said that the 'Center has not done anything for the textile and handloom sector in Telangana'.
Accusing the Centre of not extending any financial help to the textile industry, he said that Modi government's disdain for the textile sector, which provides employment to the largest number of people in the country after agriculture is very unfortunate.
