Telangana receives 85 pc excess rainfalls during water year 2022-23

Hyderabad, Aug 1 (UNI) Telangana received 85 per cent excess rainfalls during the water year 2022-23 upto July 31.
A statement here on Monday said that the Ground Water Department monitored water levels during July-2022 through 1362 Piezometers (monitoring stations) covering all mandals from 33 districts of Telangana State.
During the water year 2022-23 (up to 31 st July 2022), State received rainfall of 690 mm against 374 mm of normal rainfall and it ranges from 239 mm (Jogulamba (Gadwal) Dist) to 1201 mm (Mulugu Dist) and thus there is a 85 per cent excess rainfall during this period as compared to normal annual rainfall.
