Lakhs witness Soorasamharam event in Tiruchendur Murugan temple

Thoothukudi,(Tamil Nadu), Nov 7 (UNI) Lakhs of devotees from various parts of the country and abroad witnessed the divinely "Soorasamharam" (slaying of demons) event at the renowned Lord Subramania Swamy Temple at Tiruchendur, one of the six abodes of Lord Muruga, in this southern district on Thursday evening.
Police sources said though normally six to seven lakh will congregate on the temple's beach front
to witness the event, this year close to ten lakh devotees have thronged this temple town for the occasion.
