Travancore Devaswom Board to take harsh decisions in coming months due to financial crisis

Pathanamthitta, Jul 16 (UNI) Stating that the financial crisis in Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) has deepened due to the prolonged ban on entry for devotees to the temples, TDB president N Vasu said if the situation continues like this, the board would be forced to take some harsh decisions in the coming months.
The Board that owns 1,250 temples in Kerala was able to disburse the salary and pension to its 5,000 odd employees and about 4000 pensioners till this month, TDB President said.
TDB had to spend about Rs 40 crore towards employees' salary and pension alone every month apart from the expenditure for performing daily rituals at its temples, Vasu said.
