Kozhikode, Nov 30 (UNI) Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and his sister and Congress Party General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday arrived at Calicut International Airport.
Priyanka, on her maiden visit after being elected as Lok Sabha MP, left for Wayanad to meet the people of her Constituency.
Talking to a newspersons at the Airport, Priyanka Gandhi said "I am really happy to be back and am ready to start work with the people of Wayanad to help them to have a better life".
A warm reception was accorded by the UDF workers to both Rahul and Priyanka at Mukkam in Kozhikode district at noon.
The MP thanked the voters of Wayanad in the reception function by speaking Malayalam.
Priyanka said She and Rahul will always be with Wayanad people for the development of the city.
Later, they will attend the public meeting at Thiruvambadi travelling by road and also attend the Public meeting in Kozhikode district, organized by the UDF workers in the afternoon.
Later, Priyanka Gandhi will address public meetings at Karulai in Nilambur, Wandoor and Edavanna in Ernad constituency in the evening.
On Sunday, Priyanka Gandhi will attend three public meetings at Mananthavady, Sulthan Bathery and Kalpetta in Wayanad district and leave for New Delhi in the evening to attend the Parliament session on Monday.
Priyanka won the Wayanad Lok Sabha bypoll by a huge margin of 4,10,931 votes.
