Pondy records 96.13 per cent pass in plus two

Puducherry, June 20 (UNI) 96.13 percent of the 14,423 students appeared for the plus two public examinations were successful and with this the pass percentage increased by 4.81 percent compared to last year,chief minister N Rangasamy said here on Monday.
Talking to news persons after releasing the results here,the chief minister said the pass percentage stood at 96.13 in Puducherry and Karaikal regions of the union territory.He said of the 4744 students of the government schools in Puducherry region,who appeared for the examination, 4398 passed.Of the 7510 students from the private schools in Puducherry region,7457 were successful.
Of the 1386 government school students in karaikal region,1239 passed and 771 of the 778 students from private schools were also successful.68 of the 154 schools in Puducherry and karaikal region secured 100 percent pass.This includes 61 schools in Puducherry and seven in Karaikal .
