Telangana BJP urges centre to depute technical team to inspect and report on KLIS mishap

Hyderabad, Oct 20 (UNI) Telangana BJP unit on Tuesday urged Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat to depute a Central government technical team to inspect and report on the Kalwakurthy Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS) pump house which submerged due to blasting works.

In a letter, addressed to the Jal Shakti Minister, a copy of which was released to the media here on Tuesday, state party secretary Bandi Sanjay Kumar, MP said that on October 16, 2020, the pump house of KLIS at Yellur village in Nagarkurnool district in Telangana submerged due to the blasting works being done at the underground pump house construction site of Palamuru-Rangareddy LIS (PRLIS) project that is just 300 meters away from the KLIS pump house.
