Telangana BJP demands apology from CM for using abusive language against party prez

Hyderabad, Nov 8 (UNI) Strongly condemning the repetitive abuse and violent threat unleashed by Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao, popularly known as KCR, against BJP Telangana President and Karimnagar MP, Bandi Sanjay besides Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, the party on Monday demanded an apology from the former for using abusive and abrasively violent language against Mr Sanjay and Mr Reddy.
The Chief Minister is desperate and frustrated and it is clearly evident through his hurriedly executed press conference on Sunday evening, State BJP Chief Spokesperson K Krishna Saagar Rao said in a statement here.
Attacking Mr Sanjay by Mr Rao is purely an escapist tactic of KCR in reference to the paddy issue, he said if the Chief Minister is sincerely concerned about the paddy farmers in Telangana, why did he not raise this issue earlier, why only after a dismal defeat in Huzurabad Assembly constituency , he questioned.
Words used by him lowers the stature of his role as the Chief Minister and as a democratically elected CM, he should exhibit democratic restraint, when opposition leaders voice people's pain and agony, sometimes even using harsh words to express, Mr Saagar said.
If it's the Central Government, which was buying paddy and other crops. all along in the state of Telangana, why was KCR claiming it was his government which was buying every grain in the state earlier, he said.
This game of owning all credit, and blaming the Centre for his own governance lapses, highlight brazen political opportunism of Mr Rao, he added.
Few days after the crucial Huzurabad bypoll result which saw Eatala Rajender of the BJP emerging victorious, the Chief Minister dared the BJP last evening to order an inquiry against him into the allegation of corruption in irrigation projects.
We will fight against BJP and expose its failures at the National level and in Telangana by holding dharnas on the streets of Delhi and in the state, he said at the media conference held after a long gap.
While the Central Government is saying it will not procure paddy, the BJP state President is instigating farmers to cultivate paddy, he alleged. We will support farmers in the North agitating for a year now. We will also fight In Parliament and on the streets against the BJP, Mr Rao said.
We are also demanding withdrawal of Cess on fuel and three controversial farm laws, the Chief Minister said and added that we will not allow the BJP to play with the lives of farmers.
He said how dare the BJP state president say he will send me to jail. Let them dare touch me (CM) and we will show what TRS is capable of.
We are not going to tolerate irresponsible statements from Mr Sanjay and other BJP leaders anymore, the Chief Minister contended.
