COVID-19 : Social organizations urge Centre not to allow opening of tourism sector in UT

Puducherry, Jul 18 (UNI) Different social organizations here on Saturday urged the Union government not to allow the opening of the tourism sector in the Union Territory due to Coronavirus pandemic.
In a joint statement, the organizations said the Coronavirus is spreading fast in the Union Territory and people are in the grip of fear.
In this backdrop, Chief Minister V Narayanasamy had written to the Union government to permit the opening of all tourist spots, hotels, lodges, bars and cinema houses here.
