Puducherry, June 14 (UNI) Demanding stringent action against the security officer of Puducherry Home Minister A Namassivayam who allegedly pushed aside Chief Minister N Rangasamy at the Thirukameswar temple car festival, Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Tuesday said that the Minister should resign owning moral responsibility for the incident.
In a statement here, CPI(M) Secretary R Rajangam condemned the action and said that Rangasamy was allowed to function as a Chief Minister for 'namesake' only in the N R Congress-BJP government.
It is a shame for the democracy that Lt.Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan is taking all decisions when a democratically elected NR Congress-BJP government is in office in the Union Territory, he said.
