Hyderabad, Nov 25 (UNI) Communist Party of India (CPI) General Secretary D Raja on Thursday requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to withdraw the proposed Banking Laws (Amendments) Bill 2021 in the interest of common people and nation.
In a letter to Mr Modi, a copy of which was mailed to UNI, Mr Raja said 'It has been brought to our notice that the government is moving The Banking Laws (Amendments) Bill 2021’ in the Winter Session of the Parliament begining from November 29 so as to enable it to privatise Public Sector Banks (PSBs) as proposed in the Union Budget 2021-22.
You are aware that PSBs act as catalysts in the economic development of our nation in general and particularly for the underprivileged sections of the society and backward regions of the country', he said.
