KTR criticises Cong govt for accumulating Rs 50,000 cr in 8 months

Hyderabad, Aug 14 (UNI) BRS Working President K T Rama Rao (KTR) has expressed concern over the Congress government accumulating Rs 50,000 crores in debt within just 8 months of coming to power.
In a statement released on Wednesday, KTR questioned whether the Congress government, which came to power promising change, is setting a record by incurring Rs 50,000 crores in debt within such a short period, especially without initiating any new projects.
He pointed out that in 2023, the state had a surplus budget of Rs 5,900 crores, which has now transformed into a staggering debt of Rs 50,000 crores in just 8 months.
