Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 9 (UNI) Opposition leader in Kerala Assembly Ramesh Chennithala on Wednesday made an apology for his controversial comment on rapes of two women COVID patients in the state.
In a facebook post, the Opposition leader who expressed regret over the issue said his comment was not intended to hurt women. "I withdraw my statement and convey my apology on the matter," he added.
Chennithala courted a controversy on Tuesday by stating that "Is there any written rule that only DYFI activists can rape?"
