Randeep Surjewal to hold Cong leaders meeting in Bengaluru on Sep 27, 28

Bengaluru, Sep 26 (UNI) AICC Chief Spokesperson and incharge of party affairs in Karnataka Randeep Surjewal have convened a meeting of Congress leaders in the City on September 27 and 28 to discuss the party affairs and take steps to strengthen it from the gross root.
Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) sources told UNI that on September 27 a meeting of senior leaders of the party including Opposition Leader in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah, party Legislators of both the Upper and Lower Houses, party District unit Presidents will be participating and next day all the leaders including defeated candidates and others will be participating to express their opinions on the shortcomings in the administration.
Congress, which lost power after severe defeat in the last Assembly Election, is yet to recover especially after a poor performance in the byelections held after losing power in the Coalition government formed along with Janata Dal (Secular) headed by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy following strong rebel activities which paved way for BJP to bounce back to power.
This is the first meeting on party affairs in Karnataka by Surjewala who was appointed as the in-charge of party affairs.
