Karnataka - BJP selects Munirathna, Dr Rajesh Gowda for RR Nagar and Sira By-election

Bangaluru, Oct 13(UNI) The BJP central election committee on Tuesday selected sitting MLA Munirathna and Dr Rajesh Gowda as candidates for R R Nagar and Sira Assembly seats in the byelection to be held on November 3.
Both Muirathna and Dr Rajesh Gowda had quit the Congress and joined the BJP recently. Munirathna was also responsible for the fall of Congress-JDS coalition government and installation of BJP government in the state.
Meanwhile, JDS, which was playing the wait and watch game, has selected V Krishnamurthy for the R R nagar seat.
