Prof Basir Ahmad Khan resigns from INL, declares support for Priyanka

New Delhi/Wayanad, Nov 2 (UNI) Indian National League (INL) leader Professor Basir Ahmad Khan on Saturday resigned from the party and declared support for AICC General Secretary Ms Priyanka Gandhi who is contesting by-election from Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency in Kerala.
In Kerala, the INL is a constituent of the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) led by CPI(M), while Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) is a part of United Democratic Front (UDF) led by the Congress party.
Ms Priyanka Gandhi is the UDF candidate and she is being opposed by LDF in the upcoming Lok Sabha poll in Wayanad in Kerala.
