AP CM pushes for SIR preparedness, 100 percent voter mapping

Vijayawada, June 2 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party President and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has called for heightened awareness and vigilance ahead of the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, describing voter registration and verification as a critical organisational responsibility.
Addressing a state-level workshop on SIR at the TDP Central Office on Tuesday, attended by MPs, MLAs, MLCs, zonal coordinators, party observers and Booth Level Agents (BLAs), the Chief Minister directed party leaders and workers at every level to ensure that every eligible voter is included in the electoral rolls.
Naidu said the SIR process, undertaken periodically by the Election Commission, would be closely monitored across Andhra Pradesh. He instructed party cadres to verify voter records through repeated field visits and coordinate with Booth Level Officers to ensure accurate voter mapping before the revision process concludes.
