Vijayawada, Aug 2 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has highlighted his government’s move to disburse 97.54 percent social security pensions to the beneficiaries and government employees’ salary on the first day of the month itself, an official said on Friday.

The Chief Minister said on social media platform X: “On August 1st, Rs 2,737 crore was disbursed to over 64 lakh beneficiaries of social security pensions including old age people, differently-abled people and others. On August 1st itself, 97.54 percent of social security pensions were disbursed.”

The Chief Minister thanked the government employees who took part in the disbursement of social security pensions stating that the government employees are part of the government. The salaries of government employees and the pensions of retired employees were also disbursed on August 1, he acknowledged.

Naidu said: “Despite various constraints, Rs 5,300 crore was released for the disbursement of government employees’ salaries for the month. The government officers and employees’ role is vital in rebuilding the State. The government takes care of their welfare and respects them. Let us work hard and transform the State’s future.”
