Naidu alleges oppressive rule prevailed in AP

Vijayawada, Oct 23 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party (TDP) National president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday alleged that the people of Andhra Pradesh had never seen before the kind of oppressive rule as being spearheaded by the present Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy in the State.
Mr Naidu said that the Chief Minister's publicity mania had touched a new high with his photos being engraved on the survey stones. Already, the ruling YCP party colours were painted on the Government buildings. Old schemes were being implemented with new names. And, crores of public money was being spent for advertisements on this.
Addressing a meeting with Narsapur parliamentary segment leaders, Naidu deplored that the YCP was resorting to attacks on all sections and persecuting everybody who questioned the Government's wrongdoings. False cases were being filed. Opposition leaders and agitators were implicated and arrested and jailed. A fear psychosis was created all over the State, he flayed.
