Vijayawada, Jul 19 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party (TDP) National president N Chandrababu Naidu appealed Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan to consider various aspects while considering the two crucial Bills which the AP government submitted to him for approval.
The former chief minister, in a letter to the Governor on Sunday, told the Governor that the AP government had sent two crucial Bills, including ‘Andhra Pradesh Decentralisation and Inclusive Development of All Regions, 2020', and 'Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority Repeal, 2020' for his consent.Mr Naidu said that the YSRCP Government brought in two bills including the A P Decentralisation and Inclusive Development of All Regions, 2020 to establish three new capital cities. The two bills were introduced in the AP Legislative Assembly in January 2020 and the Government was able to get them passed with the sheer majority of the ruling party.
However, the AP Legislative Council (APLC) referred them to ‘Select Committees’ as per the directions of the Council’s Chairperson. These bills, though, were with the Select Committee of the APLC, the ruling party introduced the bills again in the APLA in June 2020 during the budget sessions. The bills were again passed in the APLA and were sent to the Council, but were not tabled as they are with the Select Committee.
