Congress leaders pay tribute to Former President Pranab Mukherjee, regret his RSS attendance

Bengaluru, Sep 01(UNI) While paying rich tributes to the former India President Pranab Mukherji, who passed away on Monday, the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee(KPCC) leaders including former union minister Mallikarjuna Kharge expressed regrets over the late leader's act of attending an event organised by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh(RSS).
Speaking after paying homage to the departed former president Mukherjee, the Rajya Sabha member and former Union Minister Mallikarjuna Kharge on Tuesday said "Mukherjee was a great leader and highly knowledgeable person and had remained loyal to the Congress party".
Maintaining that the departed leader was a genius and had a grip on so many issues, he said that "I can't understand such a genius person, in his final days decided to go to the RSS office".
