Central asks Telangana govt to submit report on MGNREGS irregularities by Sept 11

Hyderabad, Aug 12 (UNI) The Central government on Friday asked the Telangana government to submit a comprehensive ‘Action Taken Report (ATR) by September 11, 2002 after thorough enquiry against irregularities in Mahatma Gandhi NREGS (MGNREGS) implementation highlighted in its report by the central team of the Ministry of Rural Development during its visit in the state from June 9 to 12.
A Central team of the Ministry of Rural Development, was deputed to conduct a monitoring visit in connection with implementation of Mahatma Gandhi NREGS (MGNREGS) in the State of Telangana from June 9 to 12, 2022.
In a letter addressed to the Telangana government raising multiple issues in the MGNREGS implementation in the state, the centre said the team found several issues with the implementation of Mahatma Gandhi NREGS in the State of Telangana.

Hyderabad, April 24 (UNI) The Election Commission of India (ECI) has issued a communication stipulating that every individual employed in any business, trade, industrial undertaking, or establishment, eligible to vote in elections to the House of the People or the Legislative Assembly of a State, shall be granted a paid holiday under Section 135 B of the Representation of People Act.
