After 10 yrs, Madras HC sets aside victory of AIADMK candidate from Radhapuram seat in 2016 Assembly polls, declares Appavu winner

Chennai, June 4 (UNI) The Madras High Court has declared former Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker M Appavu as the winner from Radhapuram
seat in the 2016 Assembly elections, while setting aside the victory of AIADMK's I S Inbadurai as null and void.
Allowing an election petition filed by Appavu, challenging the 2016 poll result from Radhapuram constituency in Tirunelveli district, Mr Justice G.Jayachandran, after a recount of the votes, ordered that Inbadurai’s victory by a narrow margin of 49 votes, was null and void and that Appavau be declared to have won by a margin of 109 votes.
