SC permits Telangana govt to withdraw petition for setting up of Krishna Tribunal

Hyderabad/New Delhi, Oct 6 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Wednesday permitted the Telangana Government to withdraw the petition filed for setting up of Krishna Tribunal on water sharing between Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
It may be recalled that the Centre has assured to look into the matter of setting up the tribunal if the Telangana government withdraws the petition.
Following the assurance of the Centre, the Telangana Government sought the permission of the Apex court to withdraw the petition.
