Telangana govt moves SC challenging state HC Order on PoP Ganesh idols immersion

Hyderabad, Sep 14 (UNI) The Telangana Government has moved the Supreme Court challenging the Order of the state High Court banning immersion of Plaster of Paris (PoP) Ganesh idols in Hussainsagar lake here, Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said.
Addressing the members of the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav committee here on Tuesday, the Minister said that the Apex Court was likely to give its Order on Wednesday and hoped that it would be favourable to the state government.
The decision to approach the Supreme Court was taken earlier in the day by Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao after holding meetings with higher officials including the Chief Secretary.
