ISRO Spy Case: Ex-Kerala cop alleges land deal between CBI officials and former ISRO scientist Narayananan

Kochi, Nov 10 (UNI) Former Circle Inspector of Pettah Police Station S Vijayan, facing a CBI probe for allegedly falsely implicating ex-ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan and some others in the 1994 spying case, on Wednesday alleged before the Kerala High Court that Narayanan influenced the CBI officials through land deals.
The lawyer of S Vijayan, who is the first accused in the FIR filed by the CBI in the conspiracy case, told Justice R Narayana Pisharadi that encumbrance certificates of several acres of land in the Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu have been produced before the trial court. Narayanan and his son are the Power of Attorney (POA) holders of these lands, he alleged.
Seeking a probe under the Prevention of Corruption Act against Nambi Narayanan and the CBI officials, Vijayan said the land documents are sufficient for ordering a probe.
