Vijayawada, Aug 28 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party senior leader and deputy floor leader in the Legislative Assembly K Atchannaidu, who was arrested in alleged scam in purchasing equipment and medicines to the ESI hospitals, was granted condition bail by the High Court on Friday.
Mr Atchannaidu was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on June 12 on the charges that he was involved in corruption in purchasing equipment and medicines for the ESI hospitals when he was the minister for Labour in the erstwhile TDP regime.
The high court granted him bail with conditions in view of his health condition. Mr.K Atchannaidu was arrested when he was recovering from a surgery at his native town in Srikakulam district. Later he was diagnosed positive for Coronavirus and was undergoing treatment in a private hospital.
