AP: Trade unions demand four labour codes abolition for workers interests

Kakinada, Sep 23 (UNI) In pursuance of the call given by the central trade unions, Black Day was observed by workers staging dharna in front of the head post office here on Monday.
They raised slogans demanding the abolition of four labour codes that are detrimental to the interests of the workers, and all the 18 lakh vacant posts should be filled up in all the public sector undertakings.
They raised slogans demanding payment of Rs. 26,000 as the minimum wage to workers of any sector; the move to privatise the Vizag steel plant and other public sector undertakings should be stopped henceforth.
