Bengaluru, Nov 23 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai here on Tuesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sought report on havoc caused by incessant rains in Karnataka.
"The Prime Minister enquired about loss of lives, damage to crops and public property. He was particularly more concerned about Bengaluru. The Prime Minister asked me to draw up short-term and long-term measures to tackle the problem," he said on his visit to Manyata Tech Park and Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research and surrounding areas, which were inundated due to incessant rains in the last few days.
The JNCASR, which is a prominent institution engaged in research, has been badly hit as the flood waters had entered the labs and damaged the equipment and vital research samples stored in it.
