Bengaluru, Nov 30 (UNI) Reassuring people that the state government has no proposal to impose lockdown, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday appealed to people not to heed to rumours in this regard.
"There is no question of imposing a lockdown for now. I appeal to people not to heed to rumours in this regard. Normal life must go on," he told reporters here. He, however, wants people as also educational institutions to strictly follow Covid norms in public places.
The state government, Bommai said, is keeping a strict vigil on Omicron, the new variant of Covid virus. Besides, precautions also have been taken to tackle situations arising out of the Delta variant.
