Modi's Digital India Program reason for recovery of Indian economy post-pandemic: MoS Chandrashekhar

Bengaluru, Nov 6 (UNI) MoS Electronics and IT Rajeev Chandrashekhar on Saturday said the reason for the Indian economy to bounce back post-Covid pandemic is the strong foundation laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi under the Digital India programme.
"The way the Indian economy has bounced back post the pandemic, a lot of that has to do with the strong foundations laid by PM Modi under the Digital India programme. People in the remotest part of the country could be reached with the click of a button and each and every penny was directly transferred into the accounts of beneficiaries," he said at an event organised jointly by Nasscom and STPI here.
Chandrashekhar cited tremendous expansion in the Digital economy over the last 18 months and said the world is looking for new trusted suppliers like India and it is the priority of the government to digitalise all its services, which will further result in creating additional demand.
