Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 6 (UNI) As many as 50 more people have tested positive for the Omicron variant of COVID-19 on Thursday, taking the total cases to 280 in Kerala so far, Health Minister Veena George said.
The Minister in a release here said, 18 people tested positive in Ernakulam, 8 in Thiruvananthapuram, 7 in Pathanamthitta, 5 each in Kottayam and Malappuram, 3 in Kollam and one each in Alappuzha, Thrissur and Palakkad.
In addition to this, one person, who came from Coimbatore, also tested positive for Omicron variant, she said.
