Twelve Village Committee Members of banned Maoists held

Bhadradri Kothagudem, Aug 21 (UNI) As many as 12 Village Committee Members of banned Maoists were arrested in three different areas in the district on Friday.
Police seized three Landmines (tiffin boxes), 14 gelatin sticks, 3 detonators, 73 meters of electric wire and 9 batteries from their possession.
On credible information that the village Committee Members of banned Maoists were planting Landmines to kill the police, Police conducted combing operation at three different areas of Aswapurampadu-Motalthogu forest area and arrested Sodi Lingaiah (30), Mosaki Sannu (30), Madakam Raju (40), Madvi Saikiran (31), Podium Singhaiah (50), Podium Bhimaiah (58) Musaki Raju (33 Podiyam Ramesh (30), Kojam Seenu (35) Podium Laxmaiah (35), Podium Adamaiah (40), Kovasi Suresh (35), all hailing from Nimmagudem and Aswapuram villages in Karakagudem Mandal in this district when they were planting landmines to kill the police, Manuguru Superintendent of Police Sabhariesh said in a statement here.
