CM asks officials to be alert in view of heavy rains

Hyderabad, July 17 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao (known as KCR) on Sunday evening instructed the state government officials to be on alert as IMD has forecast that the state will receive heavy rains till the end of this month.
KCR, who reviewed the flood situation with the officials at Eturu Nagaram (Mulugu district) after assessing flood flow in Godavari and conditions in the marooned villages in Bhadrachalam and other areas in Bhadradri-Kothagudem district in the morning, said that so far, 25,000 flood victims have been shifted to relief camps and 20 kgs of rice to each family will be given for 2 months.
An immediate relief of Rs 10,000 will be given to each flood affected family, he said people should be alert for another 15 days.
