“Stay more cautious, as Omicron spreads fast,” Stalin tells people

Chennai, Jan 03 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin on Monday appealed to the people to be more cautious, as the Omicron variant of corona virus spreads fast although it is less virulent than the previous strains.
Launching the COVID-19 vaccination programme for adolescents aged 15-18 years at the Government Girls Higher Secondary School at Saidapet, here Mr.Stalin said the infection is bound to affect more people in the coming days. But, the only protection is the face mask and hence people should wear the mask and maintain physical distancing in public places.
The CM appealed to people to follow coronavirus preventive protocols and get vaccinated.
