Chennai, Sep 13 (UNI) The number of COVID-19 cases in Tamil Nadu crossed the grim milestone of Five Lakh mark on Sunday, after the State registered 5,693 fresh infections in the last 24 hours.
The cumulative tally of positive cases stood at 5,02,759 till date. Also, 74 more patients succumbed to the virus, taking the death toll in the State to 8,381, as per the latest data released by the Health department in its bulletin.
