Tamil Nadu records 5,495 new cases, 76 deaths

Chennai, Sep 12 (UNI) Tamil Nadu reported 5,495 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, taking the total number of infections to 4,97,066 while 76 more fatalities related to the virus took the death toll to 8,307.

Health department in its bulletin said of the 76 deaths, 39 were reported in government hospitals and 37 in private hospitals.
