TN reports 3,965 new COVID-19 positive cases, 69 deaths today

Chennai, Jul 11 (UNI) Tamil Nadu on Saturday recorded 3,965 new COVID-19 positive cases, taking the number of infections to 1,34,226 even as the toll related to the pandemic mounted to 1,898 with 69 more fatalities - the highest single day deaths since March 25, when the first Coronavirus death was reported in Madurai.
Health department in its bulletin said a record number of 15,66,917 samples of people were tested in 102 government and private labs all over the state till date, including 37,825 samples of persons during the past 24 hours.
As many as 3,591 COVID-19 positive patients were discharged after treatment today and the number of recoveries till date was 85,915.
