TN reports 3,756 new COVID-19 positive cases, 64 deaths, cumulative tally went past 1.20 lakh

Chennai, Jul 8 (UNI) Tamil Nadu on Wednesday reported 3,756 fresh COVID-19 positive cases, taking the total number of infections to 1,22,350 even as the fatalities increased to 1,700 with 64 more patients died of the virus.
According to the official data released by the Health department, a record number of 14,49,414 samples of people were tested in 98 government and private labs all over the state till date, including 35,979 samples of persons during the past 24 hours.
As many as 3,051 COVID-19 positive patients were discharged after treatment today and the number of recoveries till date was 74,167.
