Hyderabad, Oct 22 (UNI) The surge in COVID-19 positive cases continued in Telangana as the state recorded 1,456 fresh coronavirus infections till 2000 hours on Wednesday pushing the cumulative number of cases to 2,27,580 so far.
Five more COVID-19 deaths were reported during the last 24 hours taking the overall death toll to 1,292 till date translating into a case fatality rate of 0.56 per cent as against the countrywide mortality rate of 1.5 per cent, according to a state health department bulletin on Thursday.
The aggregate recoveries from Coronavirus in the state shot up to 2,06,105 as 1,717 patients had recovered from the deadly virus between Tuesday and Wednesday constituting a recovery rate of 90.56 per cent while the National recovery rate was 89.2 per cent.
