Septuagenarian patient dies of Coronavirus at Jipmer

Puducherry, Jun 16 (UNI) A 71-year-old Septuagenarian patient getting treatment for Coronavirus at Jipmer died here on Tuesday.
According to sources, the man, father-in-law of a driver working in Jipmer came to Puducherry along with his wife and son to attend a family function at Jipmer campus last month.
After taking part in the function, they left for Chennai the same day itself.
The man, already a heart patient fell ill the next day and was brought to Jipmer and admitted.
He was tested positive for COVID-19. His condition worsened on Monday night and he died early this morning.
Since, he is from Chennai he will not be included in the list of those died of COVID-19 in the Union Territory.
